1932 - 2006

John B. Grandmont, beloved husband of Margaret Grandmont of Grassy Lake, passed away at home on Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the age of 73 years.
John was born December 27, 1932 in Winnipeg Manitoba.
Besides his loving wife Margaret, he is survived by his daughter Shelly Wiebe of Taber; his sons Doug (Lana) Grandmont and Garry (Alison) Grandmont all of Lethbridge; two step children, Tracy Murphy of Quebec and Cam (Fern) Perry of Spain; his grandchildren John, Darcy and Jacqueline Grandmont, Megan, Clayton and Chandra Wiebe, Dana and Raelyn Grandmont, D.J. (Danielle) and Shawn Grandmont; a great granddaughter Lakota Grandmont and by his step grandchildren John, Jason and Jared Murphy and Kristen and Grant Perry. He is also survived by his brother’s Ed (Rose), Hilaire (Simone) and Louis (Helen) and their families. Brother-in-law Ron (Sophie) Williams, sisters-in-law Phyllis (Mel) Mellstrom and Vera (Bob) Telfer and by numerous nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his first wife Myrna, his son Maurice Grandmont, his parents Rene & Marie Grandmont, his grandparents Sarah & Onesium Ricard and Joseph & Berthe Grandmont.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Westview Community Church, Grassy Lake on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Wil Stonehill officiating. A private family Interment will be held at the Prairieview Cemetery, Grassy Lake.
