DOROTHY DAVIDSON
1941 - 2011
Dorothy Georgina Davidson, beloved wife of Al Davidson, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the age of 69 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 7, 2011 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Besides her loving husband Al, Dorothy is survived by her children and their families, Duane (Lorie) Davidson of Taber and their family Nicole (Miles) Jennison and their children Sadie, Noah & Evan, Erin Davidson and her fiancee AJ Hutchinson, Shaun Davidson who passed away September 26, 1991 and Mitchell Davidson and his girlfriend Sarina Mellafont; Jim (Wendy) Hamper of Calgary and their family Breanne & Brady; Colleen (Fred) Armstrong of Taber and their family Twyla Johnson and her son Whyatt, Blaine (Leah) Johnson and their son Dradin, Ashley Armstrong and her children Mickaela & Payton and Ryan (Megan) Armstrong and their children Austin, Kalib, Ethan & Desiree; Scott (Michelle) Davidson of Taber and their family Kyle Davidson and his fiancee Jamie Lanser, Brandon Davidson and his girlfriend Caitlyn Brett, Kadon Davidson and Madison Coupland; Lesley (Bryan) Badura of Taber and their family Johnny, Courtney, Nickolas & Danial Badura.
She is also survived by her mother Florence Cline of Taber, brother Rodney (Ida) Cline of Taber, sister Darleen (Al) Hamper of St. Albert and their families.
She was predeceased by her grandson Shaun Davidson September 26, 1991 and her dad George Cline November 25, 1975.
Dorothy was born in Drayton Valley March 18, 1941 and was raised in Rocky Rapids. She married Alvin Davidson in Drayton Valley June 5, 1959.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and canning. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed baseball and hockey and was an avid fan of her kids and her grandkids, supporting them in all their activities. Dorothy was always there to help anyone who needed her no matter what. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
