1957 - 2011

Douglas Earl Harden, beloved husband of Michele Harden, passed away peacefully in Taber, after a long battle with cancer on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the age of 53 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, February 17, 2011 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
Doug is survived by his wife Michele and her children Kennedy and Dwain; his children Dietta (Jason) Kinkley of Lethbridge and their children Kaylie and Colton; Tara (Rob) Ambrus of Lethbridge and their children Dakota, Dray and Adison; Beau (Susie) Harden of Lethbridge and their children Hailey and Dylan; Devon Harden of Lethbridge; daughter by heart Carrie (Kevin) Perry of Coaldale and their children Kimberlee and Alyssa. He is also survived by his siblings Mildred (Allan) Stewart of Taber, Carol (Bill) Stratton of Lethbridge, Les (Betty) Harden of Fort Thomas, Kentucky and Darrell Harden of Chase, British Columbia; in-law Richard (Rosemary) Owen and Kim
(Rochelle) Owen as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Roxie Harden.
Doug was born November 13, 1957 in Carmangay. He earned a living in the oil and gas industry driving truck with his most recent adventure, Harden Ventures. In his time away from the cab of the truck, Doug enjoyed spending time in the kitchen building mouth watering dishes and desserts. He always looked forward to spending time with friends and family especially his grand kids. When he finally slowed down to relax you would find him watching his favorite hockey team, the Calgary Flames. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.
