Glenn was the second child born to Arthur and Esther Gilbertson. He was born in Taber on October 26, 1924. He received his elementary schooling in country schools namely Cromwell and Wadena and went on to finish high school in Taber. Glenn chose to stay and operate the family farm south of Taber until his retirement in 1990. After retirement he sold the farm and moved to Lethbridge where he met and married Jeanette Skoog. In his younger years he was actively involved in baseball and softball and he enjoyed the games very much. Later on in retirement he found bowling to be his passion along with Jeanette, being very enthusiastic abut the game. Glenn was bowling and finished the season in May of 2010, not knowing this would be his final season. He also loved pool at the Club House where he lived. His younger brother Brent recently travelled to Lethbridge from Calgary several times to keep in touch with Glenn. We will continue to love and cherish all the fine qualities of his life.
