DALE OSBURNE
1936 - 2010
Dale Bennett Osburne, beloved husband of Kay Osburne, passed away in Taber on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the age of 74 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Alana Johnson officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
He will be forever loved and remain in the hearts of his loving wife of 52 years, Kay; his children Wanda (Ed) Campbell of Taber and their children Paige Osburne, Brock and Brody Campbell; Sandy Osburne of Stettler and her children Crystal (Murray) Sharpe (their children Selena, Seth and Diesel), Ryan (Stephanie) Derr and Kelsey Derr; Barry (Shelly) Osburne of Airdrie and their children Cody (Christine) Hansen (their son Cole), Justin (Nicole) Osburne and Derek (Tatiana) Osburne (their son Jackson); Bonnie (Bruce) Koop of Fort Saskatchewan and their children Carlene, Leah and Travis. He is also survived by his sister Reta Anderson of High River and her family.
He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Barbara Osburne; brother-in-law Mervyn Anderson and cousin Marg Osburne.
Dale was employed with the CIBC for thirty eight years in which he retired from. Following his retirement he worked with the girls at Rumors Salon where he was affectionately known as “Papa Dale”. In his travels he met a lot of wonderful people and became good friends with most if not all of them. He will be forever remembered and known as a great handyman and Mr. fix it and for his love of animals. Dale was an awesome husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend. We all love you and will miss you very much.
