HUGO BARTZ

1928 - 2010

Hugo Bartz, beloved husband of Edna Bartz of Taber, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the age of 81 years.

The Burial Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden, one kilometer north of 64 Avenue on 50 Street, Taber on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:30 P.M.

The Funeral Service was held at the Evangelical Free Church, 5431 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.

Besides his loving wife Edna, Hugo is survived by two sons Harry and Zigmund both of Kelowna and two adopted sons Arnold of Germany, Victor of Kelowna and by their families; Edna’s daughter Janet (Bruce) Stetar of Dubai and her children Scott Henry, Tyler Henry, Ryan (Nanae) Henry and their children John & Shakinah all of Medicine Hat. He is also survived by his brothers Art of Calgary, Archie of Taber, Willy of Raymond, Harry of Edmonton and their families.

He was predeceased by his brother Alfred.

Hugo was born July 6, 1928 in Arzis, Akerman, Romania to Adolf & Eva Bartz. He immigrated to Canada in 1955 and eventually settled in Taber where he was self employed as a stucco mason. In 1993 Hugo married Edna and they have resided in Taber until the time of his passing.
