EDWARD BELER

1941 - 2010

Edward George Beler of Hays, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age of 68 years.
Edward is survived by his mother Clara Beler of Hays, two brothers, Clarence Beler (Suzanne Sirias) of Lethbridge and Anthony Beler of Hays.
He was predeceased by his father John Beler.
Edward was born on September 10, 1941 in Bracken, Saskatchewan. The Beler family moved to Hays in 1953. Edward decided to complete grade twelve back in Val Marie, Saskatchewan where he resided with his Aunt Kate. Following graduation, Edward was employed with McLeod’s Hardware Store Headquarters in Winnipeg, doing inventory. He travelled throughout North America both for business and pleasure. He loved his cars and was always up to date with the latest makes, models and trends.
By the mid nineties, Edward began dialysis. This eventually brought him back to Hays to be closer to his family.
Even in the face of great physical difficulties, Edward kept his positive attitude, his wonderful sense of humour and his “gift of the gab”. More importantly, he never lost his faith or his personal relationship with the Lord. Edward will be missed by all who knew him. He enriched the lives of so many.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 324 - 2 Avenue North, Vauxhall on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Vauxhall on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Patrick Furtado SAC, Celebrant. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
