BEN HILDEBRANDT
1928 - 2009
Ben D. Hildebrandt, beloved husband of the late Laura Hildebrandt of Vauxhall, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 26, 2009 at the age of 81 years after suffering from Alzheimers.
Ben was born in Blumenhof, Saskatchewan on March 21, 1928, son of Jacob P. and Maria Hildebrandt. Ben married Laura Wieler of Herbert, Saskatchewan on September 26, 1948. He accepted Christ as Savior at a young age and was baptized in 1955.
Ben is survived by their five children, Arlene Hildebrandt of Lethbridge, son-in-law Bob Wieler of Kelowna, British Columbia, Brenda (Doug) Gupton of Tomahawk, Alberta, Tom (Connie) Hildebrandt of Saskatchewan, Gina (Barry) Huemer of Lethbridge and Gerri (Harold) Unruh of Vauxhall. He will be missed by his fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Henry (Lois) Hildebrandt and Helena (George) Weltz (nee Hildebrandt) both of Abbotsford, British Columbia.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife Laura, sisters Marion, Anne and Christine and brother Peter.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 30, 2009 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Elroy Senneker officiating. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
