ELSE TIEDE

1912 - 2009

Else Tiede passed away peacefully in Calgary at the Bethany Care Centre on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the age of 97 years.
Elsa is survived by her loving sons, Gerhard Tiede of Taber and Helmut Tiede of Coaldale; her loving daughter Holde (Oskar) Schneider of Calgary; grandchildren Gordon, Robert, Sylvia, Annett, Thomas, Barbara, Pamela and seventeen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Leontine (Julius) and brother Emil (Helena) both of Germany.
She was predeceased by her husband Johann Tiede; sisters Adelena, Olga, Herta and a brother Hugo.
Else was born in Alexanderfeld, Bessarabien on April 20, 1912 and immigrated to Canada in 1955. She was a loving mother and was especially fond of all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and always had a beautiful garden and fruit trees in her yard in Taber.
The Funeral Service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 4619 - 56 Avenue, Taber on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Carl Bogda officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
