GEORGE PAUN
1925 - 2009
George Paun, beloved husband of Susan Paun of Taber, passed away peacefully at the Forest Grove Care Centre in Calgary on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the age of 84 years.
George will be lovingly remembered by Susan, his loving wife of sixty one years; daughter Beverly (Vern) Hewitt of 150 Mile House, British Columbia; son Larry (Debra) Paun of Calgary; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; He is also survived by three sisters, Anne Hall of Lethbridge, Hettie (Jack) Irwin of Kelowna, Nellie Zeramba of Lethbridge; sister-in-law Barbara Paun of Taber and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother John Paun; two sisters, Helen Susa, Mary Topal and by four brothers-in-law, Norman Hall, Connie Zeramba, Ted Susa and Nick Topal.
George was born in Dysart, Saskatchewan on September 6, 1925. He had a special place in his heart for music. There was never a dull moment and in his spare time he would play his fiddle, guitar or banjo along with all his favorite country tunes. George loved using his hands to craft the latest and greatest new camper RV for he and Susan to enjoy while they travelled the Gypsy lifestyle to there next great adventure.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Dale Lang officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
