RYAN HOLCEK

1980 - 2009

Ryan Joseph Holcek, beloved son of Sherry (Greg) Fletcher and Arny (Heather) Holcek, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the age of 29 years.
Ryan is survived by his parents Sherry (Greg) Fletcher and Arny (Heather) Holcek; siblings Kimberly Holcek (Mike Powell); Kimberly’s son Logan; Mike’s daughter Jenna; Brad Holcek (April Bruce) and his daughter Emma; Liam, Alezan and Macie Holcek all of Taber; grandmothers May Noble of Coaldale and Mary Holcek of Picture Butte. He is also survived by his step family Justin (Lonnie) Fletcher and their son Tanner; Kimberly Fletcher (Laurence Nielsen), Lindsay Fletcher, Bill & Betty Fletcher, Robert & Maureen Paterson as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers Cyril Noble and Joe Holcek and his uncle Neil Noble.
Ryan was born in Lethbridge on May 15, 1980. He lived in Taber until 1985 when his family moved to Maple Ridge, British Columbia. In 1991 they moved back to Taber where Ryan has resided until his passing. Ryan enjoyed sports from a young age. He played baseball and hockey. When he was twelve he tried the game of golf which soon became his passion. At the time of his passing he was employed at Taber Special Needs Society as a financial manager. Ryan was a special and loving uncle to Logan and Emma. He will always be loved and sadly missed by his mom, dad, brothers, sisters, niece, nephew, family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Sandra Riddell officiating. Burial to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
