EVA WHITMORE

1915 - 2004

Eva Phyllis Whitmore of Taber, beloved wife of the late John Whitmore, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at the age of 88 years.
Eva was born in Kingsland, Saskatchewan on October 29, 1915 to parents Wise & Mary Anne Baldwin. She received her schooling in Kingsland and married John Elkanah Whitmore on November 1, 1939 in Regina. They farmed and started their family in Harris, Saskatchewan.  In 1952 the government was offering irrigation land in Southern Alberta.  John bought land in 1954 in Hays and moved his family of four in January of 1959.  For the past several years, Eva has been a resident of Taber Continuing Care.
She is survived by her four children Ken (Janet) Whitmore and Shirley Ann (Joe) Meier of Hays, Monty (Trudy) Whitmore and Rhonda (Jim) Culver of Vauxhall; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers Ernie (Adeline) Baldwin of Red Deer, David Baldwin and Ray (Jean) Baldwin of Rosetown, Saskatchewan.
Eva was predeceased by her husband John and sister Florie Brooks.
The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Friday, September 17, 2004 at 2:00 P.M.  with Reverend Jim Lochhead officiating. Interment will follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
