JEAN WADDLE
1935 - 2005
Mrs. Jean Waddle, beloved wife of Mr. Milton Waddle of Taber, passed away at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at the age of 70 years.
Jean was born and raised on the family farm in Vauxhall Alberta. Attending the North Slope School and Vauxhall High School. She was a supporter of the Vauxhall 4-H Club were she met and later married her husband Milton on October 30, 1953, enjoying over fifty loving years together. Through the years Jean grew to love the outdoors becoming a skilled fisherman and camping enthusiast. Her love and knowledge of nature increased as the years passed, to where she became a family expert on plant life of Southern Alberta & Southern Manitoba. One of her favorite pastimes was sketching and cartooning and many of her works can be seen proudly displayed in her family home and holiday trailer. Jean's love and enjoyment for children led her to many years of involvement with Scouting and assisting her husband with many Air Cadet activities. Jean was also a member of the Taber Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Canadian Diabetic Association and the Taber Air Force Association. Jean worked for a number of years as a seamstress and continued enjoying sewing and was always willing to repair or hem up those new pair of jeans that many family members and friends brought by. Those that knew Jean loved her and will always miss her trademark heartfelt hugs.
Besides her loving husband Milton, Jean is survived by her son Dale (Janice) Waddle of Pratt, Manitoba and their sons Trevor (Leanne), Brent (Christina Gagnon) & Ben, her son Terry (Connie) Waddle of Calgary and their children Sarah (Ryan Trew), Elizabeth, Amanda & Matthew, and her son Neil Waddle of Taber. She is also survived by her brother and sisters Gladys Forchuk, Edward (Brenda) Postoloski, Kathie (Ron) Friesen and her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Harlan & Pat Waddle, Myrna Waddle and Kate Postoloski as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother Fred Postoloski, brothers-in-law Pete Forchuk and Ken Waddle, her niece Jenean (Forchuk) Sininger and by her nephew Eugene Forchuk.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Janice Walls officiating. Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
