JOHN VERES

1913 - 2004

Mr. John Paul Veres of Taber, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Margaret Veres, passed away peacefully at the Taber Hospital on Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at the age of 91 years.  
John was born at Nyiregyhaza, Hungary on March 24, 1913.  He came to Canada in 1948 with his wife Margaret and their three children Madeline, Leslie and Joe.  Their daughter Mary was born in Canada. He bought his own farm in 1957 and farmed it until retiring in 1969.  
John is survived by two daughters Miss Mary Veres of Taber and Madeline (Bill) Neuman of Surrey B.C. and their two sons William and David (Heather) as well as David and Heather's three children Darcy, Jamie and Cory; two sons Joe (Mary) of Taber and their three children Brian, Katherine (Kevin) Sassa and Donna (Shoichi) Takagi all of Lethbridge, as well as Kevin and Kathy's two children Maxim and Devyn and Leslie Veres of Lethbridge.   
He was predeceased by his wife Margaret in 1968.
Family and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel (5006-48 Ave.) Taber on Friday, April 23, 2004 at 7:00 P.M.  
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church (5009-48 Ave.) Taber on Saturday, April 24 at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Father Mariusz Sztuk SDS celebrant.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
