MARGARET TVERKUTES

1917 - 2008

Margaret Tverkutes, beloved wife of the late Anthony Tverkutes, passed away in Taber on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the age of 90 years.
Margaret was born on the farm at Vibank, Saskatchewan on November 30, 1917. She loved animals, enjoyed a big garden and loved cooking and baking.
Margaret is survived by her children Bill (Karen) Tverkutes and Reta Schmidt both of Taber and Diana (Tom) Mason of Vancouver; grandchildren Gregory, Rodney, Laureen (Greg), Jeffory (Jody) and Tamara (Aaron); great grandchildren Kara, Donovan, Austyn, Alyssa and Julia; brothers and sisters Johanna (Claude) LaBelle of St. Catherine’s, Ontario, Caroline (Felix) Kraft of Regina, Saskatchewan, Jean (Frank) Selinger of Regina, Loretta Poile of Calgary, Delores (Roland) Perras of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Michael Young of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Elmer (Shirley) Young of Regina, Albert (Rosemarie) Young of Edmonton, Robert (MaryAnn) Young of Regina, Gordon Young of Alberta Beach, Alberta; a sister-in-law Anita Young as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Tony, brothers Chris and Edward, sisters-in-law Barbara, DeElla and Doris, son-in-law Lawrence Schmidt and brother-in-law George Poile.
Relatives and friends are invited for Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009-48 Ave., Taber on Friday, September 5 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk Celebrant. Burial to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
