ERVIN BRODERSON
1925 - 2004
Mr. Ervin Frank Broderson, beloved husband of Mrs. Dorothy Broderson, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at the age of 79 years.
Ervin was born January 26, 1925 on the family farm in Retlaw where he was raised and later farmed. He attended school at Lonestar and later finished his schooling in Retlaw. Being the youngest, Ervin farmed while his brothers went overseas. He truly loved the land and all things associated with it. Ervin married Dorothy Westwong on November 6, 1953. Several years later they purchased a lot of land south of Vauxhall where they homesteaded and raised their family of eight children. He worked at the Sugar Factory in Taber and Picture Butte and was a bus driver for over thirty years. Along with his farming he worked with ADCO. Ervin loved curling, pool, horseshoes, playing crib at the Legion and gardening, especially tomatoes. Very special in his life was his family; he took them on vacations and always enjoyed having them around. He loved to tease everyone and had a great sense of humor.
He will be remembered by his wife Dorothy, brother George (Leita) Broderson; sister-in-law Ethel Broderson; children Hal Broderson, Holly (Ewald) Zaiser, Lance Broderson, Richard (Linda) Broderson, Ralph (Mary) Broderson, Heather (Kelvin) Wright and Colleen (Brent) Ecklund; daughter-in-law Colleen; grandchildren Tammy (Ryan) Rombough, Tracy (Larry) Kiss, Melissa (Bryce) Carlsen, Jason Zaiser, Jennifer Broderson, Joyce Broderson, Dustin Broderson, Kyle Wright, Tyler Wright, Jamie Lemisko, Carlee Hayden, Taylor Broderson and Korbin Broderson; great grandchildren Jaidee, Tori and Jazlynn Rombough and Logan and Tyron Kiss.
