DARLA PETERSON

1971 - 2004

Darla Marie Peterson, beloved wife of Cory Peterson of Taber and mother of Josh and Alyssa, returned to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 14, 2004, after battling cancer for 2 years.
Darla was born on December 16, 1971 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She moved to Nipawin, Saskatchewan at 4 years of age and enjoyed a wonderful childhood there for 8 years. In 1982 she moved to southern Alberta where she later married Cory and was blessed with two children Josh and Alyssa. Darla thoroughly enjoyed her most recent job working with children at L.T. Westlake School. She touched many hearts with her kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness.  Darla lived life to the fullest with her children, husband and family. The consideration of others was always foremost in her mind. She brought much joy to her family and friends even though her time with us was short.
She will be forever remembered in the hearts of husband Cory; son Josh; daughter Alyssa; parents Keith and Darlene Heinitz; sister Dawne (Joey) Andrus and their children Mya and Rayna; uncles and aunts; Ray (Terri) Hilderman and their son Perry; Don (Lynn) Hilderman and their children Ryan, Tricia (Heath) Holliday and Tanielle; Lorne (Darlene) Hilderman and their son Spencer; Ray (Sue) Heinitz and son Todd and family; Bill (Donna) Heinitz and their family Nicole (fiance Jeff), Charla (Shane) Cuthbertson and family and Dallas (Stacey) and family; grandparents Dave and Minnie Hilderman and Bill Heinitz Sr.  Darla is also survived by Cory's family, Keith and Joyce Peterson; grandmother Helen Peterson; brothers and sisters-in-law; Stacy (Jody) Peterson and their daughter Jordan and Chad (Rachelle) Peterson and their son Brandon and also by numerous other aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandmother Emily Heinitz.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet the family at the Relief Society Room of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Center, 4709-50 Ave., on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M.
The Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Bruce Francis officiating.  Interment to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
