1953 - 2007

Robert Nicholas Ostafichuk, beloved husband of Michelle Ostafichuk of Vauxhall, passed away in Taber on Friday, March 23, 2007 at the age of 54 years.
Besides his loving wife Michelle, he is survived by his mother Avis Ostafichuk of Vauxhall, brother Herb (Linda) Ostafichuk of Fort St. John, British Columbia and their children Cheryl Ostafichuk and Janice (Gord) Jensen and their children Katie and Ashley; sister Dianne (Patrick) Laturnus of Mayerthorpe and their children Gayle Laturnus and Melanie (Ron Foye) Smathers and their children Alana, Larissa and Samantha; brother Dale (Linda) Ostafichuk of Redwater and their children Jonathan (Lacey) Gagne and Danielle (Tim Borthwick) Gagne.  He is also survived by his uncle William (Nancy) Ostaficiuk of Lethbridge, aunts Victoria (Harvey) Davies of Lethbridge and Thelma Brown of Kelowna, British Columbia, his mother-in-law Anne L. Skretting, brother-in-law Sheldon (Marlene) and their children Carmen (Del) Bodnarek and their children Colton, Kristen and Nathan, Cory Hull (Latisha Schmid) and their son Xavier, sister-in-law Jacqueline (Ken) Kopervas and their children Kolten, Kelsey and Jolayne.
He was predeceased by his father Nicholas “Nick” Ostafichuk and father-in-law Jim Skretting.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, March 26, 2007 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Wil Stonehill officiating. A private family Interment Service will follow at the Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge.  If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Robert’s name may be made directly to the charity of one’s personal choosing.
