ADAM MEIER

1932 - 2005

Mr. Adam "Chief" Meier of Hays, beloved husband of Mrs. Pat Meier, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2005 at the age of 72 years.
Adam was born October 23, 1932 in Prelate, Saskatchewan. He was married to Patricia Andreas on December 13, 1969. He spent many years farming near Hays before retiring in 1991. During his retirement years, he operated the Hays Landfill.
He was fond of old machinery. He loved to tell stories and had a dry sense of humour. He enjoyed spending time at the Hays Coffee Shop. Adam was a loving individual who gave to everyone and would help anyone in need. He loved his wife and family and was especially proud of his grandchildren. His family always came first.
Besides his loving wife Pat, Adam is survived by his daughters Deborah Meier of Coaldale, Marilyn (Martin) Senneker of Hays, Susan (Ed) Hendricks of Coaldale and by his grandchildren Merven, Kayla, April, Brooke and Brandon. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Caroline, Philip, John, Barbara, Frank, Joe, Veronica and by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
He was predeceased by his parents John & Genny Meier and by his sister Jane Andruschak.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Hays Cemetery on Friday, October 14 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Celebration Of Life at the Hays Community Hall.
