BILL MULNER

1920 - 2007

William James Mulner of Taber, beloved husband of the late Eddie Mulner, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007 at the age of 87 years.
Bill was born on March 20, 1920 in Punichy, Saskatchewan, the son of Louis and Elizabeth Mulner. The family moved to Taber where he received his schooling. In 1942 he joined the Armed Forces, serving the latter part of the war in Europe and  finally in Germany. During this time he met the love of his life Edna (Eddie) Horton.  They were married in England on July 21, 1944. Following the war they settled in Taber where he worked for Paterson’s Groceries, the Sugar Factory, Vauxhall Transport and in the seventies for the Town Of Taber until his retirement. Bill was a member of the Taber Legion, Knox United Church, Moose and the Taber Golf Club. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed stream fishing, bingo and cards, especially crib. Bill was known for his hard work, integrity and good and fun loving nature. A good summation of the legacy he left behind is honest, simple, hardworking and trustworthy. He will be missed.
Bill is survived by his loving daughters Linda (Ron) Veres of Taber and their children Devany (Brent) May and their children Kirsty, Rylee and Jami; Robb (Arlene) and their son Brock;  his daughter Terry (Ferris) Zaugg of Taber and children Zac Nyce; T.J. Nyce and children Gabrielle, Jameson and Gracie; Shiloh Nyce and Amy Nyce. He was predeceased by his wife Eddie, a daughter in infancy Carol Lee, sisters Velma and Ann and brothers Gordon and Henry.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Thursday, August 9, 2007 between 7:00 and 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at Knox United Church, 4929-50 Ave., Taber on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 1:00 P.M.  Burial to follow in the Taber Memorial Garden.
