CLARENCE MEISNER

1926 - 2008

Clarence Howard Meisner, beloved husband of Elaine Meisner of Taber, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Besides his loving wife Elaine, he is survived by his children Diane (Dennis) DeJager of Taber, Brian (Margaret) Meisner of Calgary, Yvonne Grigor (Rob McCharles) of Calgary and Penny (Norbert) Schafer of Taber; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; brother Max Misner of Ontario as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Florence Misner, four sisters and two brothers.
Clarence was born June 23, 1926 in Lakeville, Nova Scotia where he was raised and educated. At age seventeen he joined the Army and served overseas. In 1948 Clarence moved to Taber where he met his wife Elaine at the Taber Times where they were both employed. Clarence was employed with the Taber Times for forty-four years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Taber Lions and the Taber Legion. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also enjoyed wood working and gardening.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Bishop Ken Holst conducting. Burial to follow at the Barnwell Cemetery.
