Miles Pavka

1937 - 2024

Miles Charlie Pavka, beloved husband of Janice Pavka, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the age of 87 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 6:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. A private committal service followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

Left to mourn is his wife Janice Pavka (née Marriott) whom he was married to for fifty one years; daughter Victoria (Douglas) Arndt of Lethbridge; son Mark Pavka (Brenda Irwin) of Calgary; daughter-in-law Stacey Pavka of Lethbridge. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Colter Pavka, Carson Pavka, Mackenzie Arndt, Mykaela Pavka and Camryn Arndt; nieces and nephews Ann (Jerry) Baron Bob (Joanne) Kubik, Richard Pavka, Kathy Pavka, Stacey (Glenda) Marriott, Lawrence (Karen) Marriott, Donna Williams, Rick (Eileen) Marriott and their families as well as and many friends.

He was predeceased by son Brian Pavka in 2017; parents John and Katerina (née Tomecek) Pavka who immigrated to Canada in 1927; brother John Pavka Jr.; sister Mark Kubik.

Miles was born in Lethbridge June 4, 1937 at the Galt Hospital to John and Katerina Pavka.
