Margaret married Hurley Valentine Price in 1942, and followed him to Fort Lewis, Washington when he was drafted into the United States Army during World War II. Margaret was a testament to hard work. As a young girl she worked for many farmers in the area. She worked at Pat’s Groceria, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and Bank of Montreal. She dispatched for Star Taxi while she attended Garbutt's Business School. She worked for Revelstoke Lumber in Taber and then went on to manage a store in Calgary before returning to Taber to work for Beaver Lumber. Margaret stopped working to take care of her mother Louise. After her mother’s passing, she took a job at Chin Coulee Gas Coop in Grassy Lake where she pioneered the installation of natural gas supply to the farmers in the area. She received a lifetime membership from the Federation of Alberta Gas Coops for her contribution to the rural gas program in the Municipal District of Taber and County of Forty Mile.
