Daniel Braun

1953 - 2023

Daniel Braun, passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the age 70 years.

Those who chose to pay their respects did so at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, July 27, 2023 between 9:00 A.M. and 9:45 A.M.

The Burial Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden, 7600 - 50 Street, Taber on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10:00 A.M.

The Funeral Service was held at the Lethbridge Mennonite Church, 4303 - 3 Avenue South, Lethbridge on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. 

Daniel is survived by his brothers and sisters Jake Braun, Tina (Bob) Griffith, George (Darlene) Braun and Peter Braun; sister-in-law Mary Braun and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Helena (née Heide) and Gerhard Braun, sister Lena Braun and brother Johan Braun and Cornie Braun.

Daniel was born March 23, 1953 in Warman, Saskatchewan where he also received his schooling. In 1960, the family moved to Taber and later moved to Lethbridge.

Daniel enjoyed walking in the river bottom. He also appreciated day trips out of the city with his peers and brought his camera along as often as he could. He took nature pictures and loved being out in creation. Daniel also enjoyed writing. He wrote poems and short stories, even publishing a few of these in books. These trips into nature inspired many of his thoughts and stories.

Daniel was a faithful member of Lethbridge Mennonite Church where he served as an usher for many years.
