Poul Blindback

1953 - 2023

Poul Blindback, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, April 2, 2023 between 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. and at the church prior to the funeral service on Monday, April 3, 2023 between 10:00 A.M. and 10:40 A.M.

The Funeral Service was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M.

The Burial Service was held at the Brooks Cemetery, 1120 - 2 Street West, Brooks on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 3:30 P.M.

Besides Carol (nee Wright), his loving wife of forty seven years, Poul will be deeply missed by their children Evan (Amber) Blindback of Taber, Tim (Natasha) Blindback of North Bay, Ontario, Doug (Crystal) Blindback of Taber, Heather Brooks (Kevin) of New Orleans, Leigh-ann (Dan) Rook of Shaughnessy and Erin (Ray) Brown of Australia. He was a proud grandfather to eighteen grandchildren Cole, Hayden, Carolena, Kwynn, Ella, Corbin, Mason, Liam, Quinton, Ashton, Lannery, Moana, Ethan, Isabella, Attica, Emerson, Alice and Myles. He is also survived by his sister Kim Blindback.

He was predeceased by his parents Viggo and Inge Blindback and an infant brother.

Poul was born on July 4, 1953, in Denmark and spent much of his life in Canada. He will be remembered for his love of his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by his loved ones.
