Beatrice May Johnson of Black Rock Terrace, Lethbridge, passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the age of 85 years.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, January 19, 2023 between 7:00 P.M and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at the Bethel Evangelical Free Church, 504 - 3 Avenue, Vauxhall on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Vauxhall Cemetery.
Beatrice leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Sig Mayeske, brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Joyce Johnson; four nieces and nephews, their spouses and ten great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Meta Johnson.
Beatrice was born July 4, 1937 to parents Melvin and Meta Johnson of Vauxhall. Most of her life was spent in this small farming community where she taught school. Poor health prompted early retirement from a job she was passionate about. If you were blessed to have been her student, you were not only taught by her, but you were indeed special to her, loved by her and prayed for by her.
Beatrice presently resided in Lethbridge at Black Rock Terrace where she quietly passed into her Saviour’s arms on Sunday, January 15, 2023. That morning she completed life doing two of her favorite things: attending church and driving her car. Jesus was so important to her, and all she did reflected that well. He was truly her reason for living and she loved to share that with everyone she could.
Hers was a life well lived for Jesus and now she enjoys Him eternally. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
