Albert Donkerbroek

1936 - 2022

Albert Donkerbroek, beloved husband of the late Coby Donkerbroek, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Albert is survived by his children Glenn Donkerbroek of Pender Harbour, British Columbia, Kevin Donkerbroek of Taber and Grace Donkerbroek of Lethbridge; sisters Detje Aaltje Wijnalda, Aaltje Detje “Alie” Van der Ploeg, Rennie Donkerbroek and Janny Hummel all of the Netherlands.

He was predeceased by his wife Coby Donkerbroek, son Frank Donkerbroek and brother Anne Donkerbroek.

Albert was born in the Netherlands on May 17, 1936. He immigrated to Canada and settled in Taber where he farmed for many years. Albert was very community minded and supported various charitable causes and community events over the years.
