Scott Jespersen

1971 - 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Randall Scott Jespersen, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, partner and friend. Scott slipped away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022 with partner Debbie and his parents by his side.

The Funeral Service was held at Knox United Church, 4929 - 50 Avenue, Taber on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M.

Scott, son of Cheryl (née Bowman) and Randy Jespersen was born on January 16, 1971 in Taber. He was the first grandchild on the Jespersen side and the third grandchild on the Bowman side.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by longtime partner Debbie Heckert; sister Corrie Jespersen and her children Emma and Ethan; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews from Debbie’s family as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Scott was predeceased by great grandparents Ole and Muriel Jespersen; grandparents Jean and Marvin Bowman, Margaret and  Clarence “Red” Jespersen; and sadly numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were taken from this world far too early as they lost their own battles along the way.

Scott held a very special place in the hearts of so many and will be remembered for his sense of humour, love for animals, nature, friends, family and his love for his partner, Debbie.

As tough and strong as he could be, he was equally kind-hearted and sensitive. Scott had a soft place in his heart for animals - which they seemed to know as they would show up on his doorstep in need of a new home and care.

If friends so desire, Scott requested that you direct your kindness to a charity of your choice for Cancer research.

We would like to express our thanks to the Palliative Care and Home Care teams at the Taber Hospital, as well as the Tom Baker Cancer Centre in Calgary and the Jack Ady Cancer Centre in Lethbridge for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Scott and his family.
