Margaret moved to Ontario during the war years, working in a munitions’ factory in support of the war effort. Following her time in Ontario she returned to Lethbridge where she looked after her younger brothers and sisters. Lethbridge is where she met the love of her life, Harry. They were married August 2, 1946 and remained in Lethbridge most of their lives. She enjoyed knitting, reading and frequently getting together with her neighbours, Ann and Aki for coffee. Margaret was an excellent cook and made the best homemade bread and buns imaginable. Harry was known for his garden, and Margaret for the canning and pickling from everything Harry picked. Margaret was also active in the Lethbridge First United Church where she devoted much of her time. She thoroughly enjoyed trips to Great Falls with Harry and picnics at Little Bow with her brother and sister and their spouses.
A special thank you to Dr. Yawney, the staff at Linden View Care Home and Taber Home Care for the excellent care provided to Harry and Margaret.
