1968 - 2021

Gordon James Hoskins, beloved husband of Rhonda Hoskins, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the age of 53 years.

A public visitation was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, June 21, 2021 between 6:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. 

A private celebration of Gord’s life was held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Besides his loving wife Rhonda, Gord is survived by his daughters Kasey (Corey) Petrie of Taber and Codi (Taylor) Gouw of Taber; his grandchildren “Papa’s guys” Grayson, Rowen and Callen; father Neil Hoskins, brother Chad (Corey) Hoskins, step brother Rod (Chris) Coutts, step sister Carrie (Deb) Coutts. He is also survived by Rhonda’s family, mother-in-law Linda Christensen, father-in-law Larry Christensen, sister-in-law Kim (Eden) Hammerstedt and brother-in-law Scott Christensen; nieces and nephews Kasidee, Kaelei and Makenzee Hoskins; Brooklyn and Josie Hammerstedt; Jett, Jaxon and Marissa Coutts and his favorite hunting buddy Gavin Hoskins.

He was predeceased by his mother Pat, infant brother Troy and Granny Edie.

Gord was born January 21, 1968 in Stettler to Neil and Pat Hoskins. At the age of sixteen his family moved to Taber where he has resided until the time of his passing. Gord met Rhonda Christensen in 1985 and they were married September 23, 1989. He started Gord’s Water Hauling in 1991 and later started K&C Trucking in 2005.

Gord enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. In the last six years, he enjoyed spending time at his favorite place, Moyie, British Columbia. Gord cherished many family vacations to Mexico, Cuba and his favorite place Hawaii. He always found amusement teasing his nieces and nephews. Gord’s pride and joy were his three grandsons. He always had a full drawer of candy and a pocket full of change for the swear jar. Gord will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Armstrong, the nurses at the Taber ER and to Jackie Foreman at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
