Nada Vekony

1933 - 2021

Nada Vekony, beloved wife of the late Frank Vekony, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

As a result of the restrictions regarding COVID-19 and the government recommendations, a private service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, Taber on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.

Nada is survived by her son Milan Kosic of Taber and her daughter Gordana (Dragan) Kovacevic of Bosnia. She is also survived by her sister Sophie Gfrerer and by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband Vaso Kosic and her second husband Frank Vekony; two sons Dragan Kosic and Goran Kosic; her parents and by numerous siblings and in-laws.

Nada was born in Laktasi, Yugoslavia on August 14, 1933 to Maria (nee Jeremic) and Branko Radic. She met Vaso Kosic and they were married until his passing in 1984. In January 1989, she immigrated to Canada and settled in Taber. Eventually she met and married Frank Vekony. They continued to reside in Taber where Frank worked as a mechanic until his passing in 1997. In 2020, Nada moved to Linden View where she remained until her passing. She will be dearly missed.
