Craig, our hero, was a kind genuine man who had a huge heart. This huge heart included more than his family, it also included the community of Coaldale, his place of employment with Intercontinental Truck Body for thirty years and his family of firefighters where he also served his thirty years of service with the Coaldale and District Emergency Services as Captain. One of his great memories in firefighting was his deployment to protect the Prince of Wales Hotel during the Kenow fire of 2017, to which his crew was successful.
He was proud of his Metis heritage and took much pride in his boys Laine and Hayden, they were his whole world. Whether it was camping, biking, volleyball or basketball events he was there being a proud Dad and cheering them on. He was a wonderful loving husband to Judy, his soulmate and companion who were at each others side always.
Craig will be dearly missed by all, and it is heartbreaking to think about continuing on without him in our lives, but sadly we must send you off with our salute. “We will take it from here Captain Wilson”.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Craig's name may be made directly to the Coaldale and District Emergency Services, Box 1571, Coaldale, Alberta T1M 1N3.
