LAURA HILDEBRANDT
1929 - 2007
Laura Mae Hildebrandt, beloved wife of Ben Hildebrandt of Vauxhall, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the age of 78 years after a battle with cancer.
Laura was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan on May 20, 1929, daughter of Henry and Aganeta “Nettie” Wieler. Laura married Ben D. Hildebrandt of Blumenhof, Saskatchewan on September 26, 1948. She accepted Christ as her Savior at a young age, and was baptized in 1955.
Laura is survived by her loving husband, Ben, their five children, Arlene Hildebrandt of Lethbridge, son-in-law Bob Wieler of Lethbridge, Brenda (Doug) Gupton of Tomahawk, Alberta, Tom (Connie) Hildebrandt of Kelsey, Gina (Barry) Huemer of Lethbridge and Gerri (Harold) Unruh of Vauxhall. She will also be missed by their fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Agnes Ponich of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Susie (Ben) Wiebe of Medicine Hat, Mary McCullough of Glenside Saskatchewan, Katie Wiebe of Medicine Hat, Helen (Frank) Rempel of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Peter (Norma) Wieler of Abbotsford, British Columbia, and Jim Wieler of Outlook, Saskatchewan.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Abe Wieler and Henry Wieler, brothers-in-law Fred Ponich, Bill McCullough and John Wiebe.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Monday, June 18, 2007 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Vauxhall Mennonite Brethren Church, 320 - 9 Street North, Vauxhall on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at the Vauxhall Mennonite Cemetery.
