Ken Woo
1954 - 2020
Ken Woo, beloved husband of Kathy Giroux, passed away in Taber on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the age of 65 years.
As a result of the restrictions regarding COVID-19, and the government’s recommendations, a private visitation was held at Southland Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 25, 2020. A private service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 29, 2020.
Besides Kathy, his wife of eighteen years, Ken is survived by his daughters Kinzie Woo of Taber and Paige (Dylan) Wall of Taber; his brother-in-law Paul Giroux and his family Raechel, Travis and Sam of Calgary, sister-in-law Steph (Darryl) Feininger and their family Jordan, Nick and Kali of Taber, brother-in-law Mark Giroux of Taber and of course, his fur grand pups “the boys” Frankie & Gus.
He was predeceased by both his parents at a very young age. He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Paul and Bernice Giroux.
Ken was born on July 21, 1954 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. He lived in multiple places throughout Alberta and British Colombia before settling in Taber in 2002 where he met the love of his life, Kathy. He was known for his love of softball through the many years of playing and coaching.
If not spending time with his family, Ken would enjoy the open road on his Harley Davidson, his pride and joy.
Ken was a husband, a father, an uncle and friend you were always able to talk to. He will be greatly missed being seen around town on his Harley with that big smile on his face.
