Ellen Hildebrand (nee Wiens), beloved wife of John Hildebrand of Bow Island, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007 at the age of 74 years.
Besides her loving husband John, Ellen is survived by her daughter Geraldine (Nick) Chernezky of Redcliff; four grandchildren, Staci and her son Kelton, Robert, Nicole and Ryan (Clara) and their daughter Taryn. She is also survived by two sisters, Katherine (Peter) Tymburski of Lethbridge and Ruth Wyton of Coaldale; three brothers, Abe (Helen) Wiens of Coaldale, Frank (Olive) Wiens of Wetaskiwin, Neil Wiens of Lethbridge and by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and dear friend Merle Woodley.
She was predeceased by her parents Frank & Helen Wiens; her son Arthur (September 17, 1979); two sisters, Mary Tymburski, Lucille Wiens and brother-in-law Ralph Wyton.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Evangelical Free Church, 214 - 4 Avenue West, Bow Island on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Michael DeRidder officiating. Burial to follow at the Bow Island Cemetery.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Ellen’s name may be made directly to the Pleasant View Lodge, PO Bag 6700, Bow Island, Alberta T0K 0G0.
The family is so appreciative of all the care given by the Bow Island Pleasant View Lodge and thanks all their staff and ongoing home care; the numerous Doctors in Ellen’s life, along with the hospital staff in Bow Island, Medicine Hat, Taber and Lethbridge. Thank you.
In addition, a special heartfelt thanks goes out to Ellen’s friends near and far, including all who befriended Ellen in her transition at the Pleasant View Lodge. Our hearts especially go out to all the residents at the Lodge and we thank you for your faithfulness and endearing kindness to Ellen.
At this Christmas season, we want to remember that Jesus is the reason for the season: Immanuel, God with us.
