Kay Biholar
1918 - 2020
Kasia Biholar, beloved wife of the late John Biholar, passed away in Taber on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 101 years.
A private graveside service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.
Kay was a wonderful mother to Gloria Frizzell, June (Gerald) Pierson (both deceased) and Robert (Marilyn) Perini. Kay loved all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John in 2011, her dear friend and daughter June in 2016 and by her six brothers.
Kay was born April 29, 1918 at Lake Eliza, Alberta to Joseg and Maryna Yakimowich. She was raised in a log shack with six brothers and three sisters. Kay came to Taber via train to work as a waitress and after several other occupations, became a certified hair dresser. She was a prudent shopper, but a very generous giver. One of her lessons to family was to know the difference between a want and a need. Kay built her own home during the Second World War and lived there until 2012. She then kept an apartment at Pioneer Place and for the last year she has resided at Clearview Lodge.
We will remember her for her genuine love and kindness and for the many lessons in life she taught us. Kay will never be forgotten by her friends and family. Rest in peace.
