Dianne was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 4, 1945. She was raised in Taber where she attended school. After graduating from college, she met the love of her life, Abe. They lived in Taber for a few years where they were joined by Rhonda and Mike. After purchasing the farm in Grassy Lake, they worked hard to build the farm and family which was something that they were very proud of. Dianne enjoyed participating in baseball, curling and golf and has acquired many trophies and prizes over the years. Her hobbies included reading, gardening and cross stitch.

In 2000, Dianne was one of the first people in Alberta diagnosed with Neuro-Myelitis Optica which caused partial blindness and paralysis. Even though she had difficulty with her vision, she still continued to cross stitch and complete many projects that her family will cherish forever. She remained at home with Abe dedicating his time to caring for her. When it became too difficult for him to continue, she moved into assisted living in Linden View and eventually Long Term Care at the Taber Hospital. Her family greatly appreciates the care that she has received at both facilities where she built very strong and lasting friendships.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Dianne’s name may be made directly to the Taber and District Health Foundation, 4326 - 50 Avenue, Taber, Alberta T1G 1N9 www.tdhf.ca.

A very special thanks to all of her doctors, especially Dr. Ian Armstrong who cared for her so graciously.
