Egan Meyer

1947 - 2019

Egan Herman Meyer, passed away peacefully in Taber on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the age of 72 years.

Egan is survived by his son Bryce (Tara) Meyer of Calgary; daughter Ellicia (Jason) Little of Taber and their family Ashleigh and Andy; brother Ralph (Linda) Meyer of Innsfail; sister-in-law Laura Heimann of Calgary and by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Wilma Meyer and his half brother Klaus Heimann.

Egan and his twin brother were born in Bremerhaven, Germany on November 14, 1947 to parents Henry and Wilma Meyer. After immigrating to Canada in 1951, the family settled in Calgary where Egan resided until 2014, when he moved to Taber to be close to his daughter and grandchildren.

Egan was a gentle solitary man who's passions were his drums, art, restoring his classic car, weightlifting, cycling, his dog Kane and his two children, their spouses and grandchildren. Egan always charmed people with his quiet, witty mannerism and was often complimented by his amazing caregivers.

Egan will be privately remembered by his family and friends.
