Lynn Wenbourne

1932 - 2019

 It is with saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of Lynn J. Wenbourne, beloved husband of Mary Wenbourne on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at the age of 86 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Sunday, November 24, 2019 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

  The Funeral Service in celebration of Lynn’s life was held at the Heritage Inn, 4830 - 46 Avenue, Taber on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 2:00 P.M.  

 Lynn is survived by his loving wife of sixty three years, Mary; daughters Jody and Shari; son Billy (Jolene) and grandson Ace. Also left to remember Lynn is his sister Kaye Ferguson; Mary’s siblings Louis (Anne) Turcato, Elda Weatherly and Lynda (Wes) Zieffle as well as many nieces and nephews.

 He was predeceased by his parents Lynn H. and Jean Wenbourne; son-in-law Ron Knapp; brothers-in-law Scotty Ferguson and Stan Weatherly.

 Lynn was born in Lethbridge on November 30, 1932 and resided north of Taber all his life. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Lynn supported his children and grandson in any sport activities they participated in and drove miles for them  to compete. He loved the sport of rodeo and second nature was his cattle and a good horse. Lynn volunteered for many community projects and served as a Municipal District Councillor for twenty eight years. He loved people and made many great friends in all walks of life.
