1941 - 2019

Richard Michael Pisko, passed away in Lethbridge on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

The Burial Service was held at Mountain View Cemetery (Block 20), 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.

Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at the Lethbridge Fish and Game Association Hut, the corner of 9 Avenue and 10 Street South, Lethbridge on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 1:30 P.M.

Richard is survived by his mother Isabelle Pisko of Lethbridge, who is 106 years of age, as well as his cousins and their families.

He was predeceased by his father Michael Pisko.

Richard was born in Lethbridge on March 2, 1941. He attended the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute and then completed his university mechanical engineering degree. After completing his schooling, Richard moved to the United States where he began his work as a mechanical engineer. When the Vietnam war started he was drafted by the United States Military and was on the very first ship that landed on the shores of Vietnam. He served there as a helicopter mechanic. After his service in Vietnam, he moved back to Lethbridge.

Richard was an avid reader and you rarely saw him anywhere without an open book in his hand. He was also a member of the Lethbridge Gun Club and enjoyed his time at the gun range.
