Peter was born on August 7, 1932 in Uden, Holland. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 to complete the pursuit of the love of his life, Netta, who moved to Canada with her family the year before. Peter and Netta married in Lethbridge on June 22, 1957. They moved several times within Southern Alberta before settling on the farm at Hays in 1962. Together, they raised their family there with Peter taking pride in his family and working hard to build their farm. Peter and Netta retired to Taber in 2006. After Netta's passing on February 18, 2014, Peter met Olive Pitts and they were married on April 11, 2015 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Peter enjoyed carpentry, gifting many projects to his family, travelling, curling and card playing with the seniors group, gardening and keeping his yards always so beautiful. Mostly he enjoyed spending his time with family and friends sharing his many stories. Peter continued to have great respect for farmers and was always interested in what was happening in the farming industry. He lived life to the fullest until his final day, and he will be greatly missed.
