Jean Marczuk

1939 - 2019

Genowefa Marczuk, beloved wife of the late Marian Marczuk, passed away in Lethbridge surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 79 years.

 The Funeral Service was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Taber Memorial Garden.  

Jean is survived by her son Rick (Jennifer) Marczuk of Lethbridge and grandsons Blake and Karsen Marczuk. She is also survived by her extended family Wally and Bernie Trieber, Robin (Justin) Embury and their daughter Emilie as well as numerous relatives in Poland.

 She was predeceased by her husband Marian Marczuk; parents Pawal and Anna Caryk; mother-in-law Maria Budzicsh as well as numerous relatives in Poland.

 Jean was born in Poland on September 28, 1939 to Pawal and Anna Caryk. She immigrated with her parents to Canada in the early fifties, settling in Taber where she has resided until the time of her passing. Jean married Marian Marczuk on November 21, 1960. Jean enjoyed gardening, flowers and visits with her “coffee friends”. These special friends were always there to take her to her appointments and help out whenever Jean needed them. Jean was especially proud of her family and loved spending time with her grandsons Blake and Karsen. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
