WAYNE GOODRICH
1963 - 2006
Mr. Wayne Albert Goodrich, beloved husband of Mrs. Rita Goodrich of Taber, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the age of 43 years.
Wayne was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on February 20, 1963. At a young age he moved to Kamloops where he received his schooling and in 1985 moved to Taber. He married Rita Raca on September 22, 1990 and for the past twelve years the family has resided on a farm N.E. of Taber. Wayne owned and operated his own business Wayne’s Oilfield Rentals Ltd. He was known for his generosity, dedication and loyalty to his family. One of his greatest passions was watching his sons play hockey. Wayne will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
Besides his loving wife, Rita, he is survived by his beloved sons Derrick and Nicholas; his mother Theresa Howden of Logan Lake, B.C.; two sisters Elaine (Frank) Anhalt of Red Deer and their sons Joshua, Matthew, Joey and Jan and Cathy (David) Biagi of Kelowna, B.C. and their daughters Emily and Ana; his mother-in-law Erica Raca of Taber; brother-in-law John Raca of Taber and Rita’s grandfather Albert Vanneste of Taber as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Jim Goodrich and father-in-law Joe Raca.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at 7:00 P.M.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Mariusz Sztuk SDS, Celebrant. Interment to follow at the Taber Memorial Garden.
A trust fund for Wayne’s sons, Nicholas and Derrick has been established at the Alberta Treasury Branch, 5317-48 Ave., Taber T1G 1S7. Donations will be gratefully accepted at the bank or by mail.
