TOM BACEDA

1937 - 2007

Mr. Thomas “Sonny” Baceda of Taber, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2007 at the age of 69 years.
Sonny was born at Johnson’s Addition on July 6, 1937.  After his schooling he worked and raised his family in the Taber area where he resided until his passing. He was a butcher, rancher, and rigger and spent most of his life as a truck driver, employed with Southern Transportation for many years before retiring. Sonny enjoyed many things in life including fishing, rodeo and his greatest passion of all was cooking.
Sonny is survived by his children Darcy (Sherry) Baceda of Taber and their son Sonny; Kenny (Holly) Baceda of Taber and their children Ryley and Bradie; Roxey (Jay) MacBurnie of Red Deer and their son Dustin; Dixie (Kirk) Koncz of Taber and their children Cody, Jordi and Shayne. He is also survived by two sisters Louise Siegl and Sylvia Oler both of Lethbridge and brother Jack “Butch” (Tracy) Baceda of Taber.
He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Frances Baceda and brothers-in-law Willy Siegl and Bud Oler.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, March 30, 2007 between 7:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Cremation to follow.  If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Sonny’s name may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 - 10 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta  T1J 2M7.
