Don Arp

1939 - 2018

Donald Joseph Arp, beloved husband of Margo Arp, passed away in Calgary on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the age of 79 years.

 Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 7:00 P.M.

 The Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5009 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. Burial  followed at the Taber Memorial Garden. 

 Besides his loving wife Margo, he is survived by his children Christopher Arp of Ottawa and his children Dylan and Kyle; Alan (Catriona) VandenBroek of Sherwood Park and their children Rebecca, Lucas and Cayman; Brenda Murchison (nee VandenBroek) of Taber and her children Cody and Alexander; Kim (David) Bekkering of Taber and their children Andrew B., Natasha, Samuel, Ashton, Andrew W., Tyler, Joshua and Maya; Michael VandenBroek of Calgary. He is also survived by his siblings Louise Rochon, Suzanne Robb and Paul Phillipe; brothers-in-law Willem (Tanya) Spruyt and Jack (Barb) Spruyt; sister-in-law Mary (Leonard) Etheridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 He was predeceased mother Vera Phillipe (nee Arp); grandson Mark Willcock; father and mother-in-law Willem and Wilhelmina Spruyt.

 Don had a vibrant love of life and had so much to look forward to. He will be greatly missed. We take comfort knowing he is reunited with his predeceased love ones, especially Mark, by the Glory of God through our Lord Jesus.
