TINO GESSNER
1967 - 2006
Tino Gessner, beloved husband of Lynn Gessner of Foremost, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at the age of 39 years.
Besides his loving wife Lynn, he is survived by his children Jesse, Lukas, Heidi and Tobias Gessner; parents Brigitta and Ralph Teubert of Germany; siblings Katrin (Marko) Weller and Frank Teubert and his treasured Oma (grandmother) all of Germany ; mother and father-in-law Bob and Mona Perry as well as numerous other relatives in both Canada and Germany.
Tino was born October 7, 1967 in Leipzig, Germany. He was raised and educated in Germany and resided there until 1996 when he immigrated to Canada. Shortly after moving to Canada, Tino met Lynn Perry and they were married on December 20, 1997. In August of 2006 Tino moved with his family to Foremost where he has resided until his passing. Tino was employed as a stone mason, something he was very skilled at. He enjoyed playing soccer with his boys, loved to watch hockey, especially when his sons started playing on the local team. Tino loved horses and farming. He was a member of the Foremost Town Council and the local dart league. Tino was a caring person who will be remembered for his great sense of humour and his love of life and people. He enjoyed introducing many of his German customs and traditions to his family and friends. Tino had many accomplishments that he was proud of, including learning english with the help of his wife Lynn, but the thing he was most proud of was his family. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and many friends.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Foremost Community Hall, 104-3 Avenue East, Foremost, Alberta on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Gary Aicken officiating. Interment to follow in the Foremost Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Tino’s name may be made directly to a trust fund which has been set up for Tino’s children, c/o Shelly Slimmon, Box 69, Foremost, Alberta T0K 0X0.
