Darlene Rose Peequaquat, passed away in Lethbridge on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the age of 54 years.
A wake was held at Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006 - 48 Avenue, Taber on Thursday, September 27, 2018 beginning at 7:00 P.M.
The Burial Service was held at the Taber Memorial Garden, one kilometer north of 64 Avenue on 50 Street, Taber on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.
Darlene leaves behind her special friend and spouse Joseph Herman and her children Thomas Peequaquat, Bambi Dreaver, Candice (Michael) Benson, Samantha Peequaquat; grandchildren Brooklyn, Leah, Draydon, Avaya, Kyler, Kaiden, Kiana, Kyson and Ryder. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Anne Finlay (Louis Morin), Brian (Wendy) Peequaquat, Joseph Peequaquat, Delbert Peequaquat and Anthony (Brittnay) Peequaquat. She will be lovingly remembered by her aunts and uncles Rose and John Pambrun, Elenore Monias, Lillian Nippi, Millie Peequaquat, Diane Peequaquat, Linda Peequaquat, Billy Peequaquat, George Peequaquat, Albert Peequaquat, Mike Peequaquat, Leonard Peequaquat and Gary Peequaquat; her nieces and nephews Ryan Assoon, Savannah Peequaquat, Crystal Stewart, Kyle Stewart, Sonny Baceda, Tyler McNabb, Tannis McNabb, Cory Littlepine, Tasha Sutherland, Stacey Finlay, Christopher Finlay, Timothy Pashe, Natalie Peequaquat, Tayl’r Peequaquat, Nikoma and Hayden.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Alma Peequaquat and step father Ralph Polak; sisters Yvonne Peequaquat, Cynthia Peequaquat and her older brother Daniel Peequaquat; nephew Jason Finlay and niece Jessica Raven Peequaquat.
Darlene was born at Rose Valley, Saskatchewan on March 1, 1964 and later relocated to Alberta with her family in 1974. In the early years, Darlene grew up in Vauxhall and Taber with her mother, stepfather and siblings. She later moved to Lethbridge where she became a mother to four children.
Darlene will be remembered for the many joyous moments she shared with family and friends. Her humour was infectious, often at her own expense to bring laughter to a room. There never was a dull moment with her presence. Darlene will be fondly remembered by all that knew and loved her.
