Anne was born July 25, 1932 at Mendham, Saskatchewan to Joseph and Rose Volk. She moved to Taber in 1943 and attended W.R. Myers. Anne met the love of her life Roy in Taber and they were married June 30, 1952. They then moved to Empress. With Roy’s jobs, they moved many times over they years, until they came back to Taber, where she has resided until the time of her passing. Anne enjoyed volunteering with Roy at the Taber Hospital for many years. She was a member of the St. Augustine’s CWL. Anne loved to go camping over the years with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and baking goodies for the family (which we are all going to miss). Over the last couple of years Anne loved to play tile rummy with her friends at the condo. She would love it when the kids and grandkids would come to visit, so she could spoil them.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Anne’s name may be made directly to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Suite 400, 740 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 0N9 www.kidney.ca or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 204, 2323 - 32 Avenue NE, Calgary, Alberta T2E 6Z3 www.diabetes.ca.
