Eunice Meisner
1923 - 2018
Eunice Jean Meisner, beloved wife of the late Carl Meisner, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 94 years, with her caregiver Katherina Klassen by her side.
Relatives and friends were invited to meet with the family at White Family Funeral Home, 100 Cornwallis Street, Kentville, Nova Scotia on Friday, March 23, 2018 between 12:00 P.M. and 2:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held at White Family Funeral Home, 100 Cornwallis Street, Kentville, Nova Scotia on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. Burial followed at the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County, Nova Scotia.
Eunice is survived by her daughter Carolyn McFarlane of Cayuga, Ontario, Betty-Jean Stasiuk of Taber and Ernest (Ingrid) Meisner of Havelock, Ontario; six grandchildren Kathy McFarlane, Michael McFarlane, Monica Caldwell, Mark Stasiuk and Thomas Stasiuk; seven great grandchildren Cassandra, Shauna, Holly, Zane, Ceanna, Zephan and Abel-lynn.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl Meisner, son-in-law Ron McFarlane and grandson Danny Meisner.
Eunice was born in Waterville, Kings County, Nova Scotia on September 22, 1923. She was the daughter of Eva Thompkins (nee Redman) and Ernest Lightfoot. Eunice was a registered nursing assistant in Ontario before moving back to Nova Scotia. She was a caregiver for the late Mrs. Stanley Hale for many years. Eunice moved to Alberta in 2010, living with her daughter Betty-Jean until 2012 when she moved to the Linden View care facility.
