ROBERT GREGUS
1961 - 2008
Robert Lee Paul Gregus was called home to his Father in heaven on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the age of 47 years.
Robert was born on May 10, 1961, the third child of John and Irene Gregus. He was raised and educated in Taber, graduating from St. Mary’s High School. He married Tina Martin on November 22, 2003. Robert was never at a loss for words and had the biggest heart around. To find out anything that was going on in town you just needed to call Robert.
Jellybelly, affectionately nicknamed by his friends, loved family gatherings, cooking, fishing and was a proud Montreal Canadians and Dallas Cowboys fan as well as an avid Edmonton Eskimos fan. In his younger years he played Lacross and hockey and later coached hockey and softball. Robert was active in his church and held many callings. His favorite food was Kentucky Fried Chicken and of course Taber corn.
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife Tina Gregus (Stulla Bubka); his parents John and Irene Gregus; his children Christopher Gregus (Annie Valgardson), Ashley Gregus and Jordan Gregus and their mother Molly Gregus; son Kendon Gregus and his mother Laurie Fajnor-Gregus of Taber; brothers and sisters John Jr. (Roxie) and their children Tiffaney, Shauna and Tosha; Terry (Willie) Hannah and daughter Jenn (Clayton) and their twins Chase and Jayden; Joey (Teresa) Gregus and their two children Crystal (Eric) and children Taylor and Tristan and Brandon Gregus; Shelley (Dale) Sekura and their son Cody all of Taber; father and mother-in-law Larry and Shirley Martin of Aylesford, Nova Scotia; brother-in-law Robert Martin (Amiee); sister-in-law Tracey (Michael) Robertson as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family at the Southland Funeral Chapel, 5006-48 Ave., Taber on Sunday, September 7, 2008 between 7:00 and 8:00 P.M. and also prior to the Funeral Service at the church from 12:45 to 1:45 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Taber Stake Centre, 4709-50 Ave., on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Bishop Ken Holst conducting.
